Sideways walk, skip, and jump

My daily fix of blogging and email and Myspace are just not enough. It's becoming a definite obsession...6,7,8,10 times a day. I've lost count. Since BFBelle was my first dealer, I guess I have her to thank for this. But Bunny and Loralee have had their hands in facilitating my addiction. Great comments, their own awesome posts, all just leave me wanting more. And it's never enough. It can never be enough.

Maybe it's because the internet is sometimes the only way that I have to communicate with some of my closest friends.

But it's starting to take over my life. I should be doing my homework right now. Maybe I should actually be working, since I'm at work. But I can't force myself to log off of the internet. Soon I will start sneaking up to the school in the middle of the night to use their computers (since I don't have one of my own.) Then after that, I'll just never leave and set up a cot for myself at work so I never have to be too far away from the computer. When the school police arrest me and throw me off the campus for trespassing, I will hock all of belongings at a pawn shop in order to afford my own lap top. Then I will settle myself in my room with my laptop for the long hard winter. When the cramps in my hands from typing get too bad to continue, I will purchase the voice activated software to continue my crazy blogging. Yep, this is definitely getting out of hand.

Now for the real reason of this post. I met a new guy last night at rehearsal. We finally found some guys to play the Nazis in The Sound of Music. One guy's name was Tyler. I tried desperately to keep my jaw from dropping to the floor...he was that beautiful. (I'm not sure how successful I was.) Let me just describe his magnificence for a moment. Tall, blonde, with the body of a Greek god, and a wonderful sense of humor. Do y'all remember the guy that played Almanzo from Little House on the Prairie?

Well, I always thought he was cute and that I'd like to marry someone just like him. There standing before me in the rehearsal room was a guy who was the spitting image of Almanzo (with better hair, of course.) I was in heaven. To add to his perfection, he's really a Southern boy from Nashville. From the first moment I saw him, I knew it was time to break out my sideways walk. For those of you who don't know, the sideways walk is leftover from my singles dance days with Jay Jay in Louisiana. When I saw a guy I thought was cute, I'd do a little sideways walk in his direction to denote a new crush had begun. But with Tyler, he didn't just get a sideways walk. He got the walk, the sachet, hop, skip, jump, and flutter of my heart.

He's in the party scene that we're doing with the folk dance. So, I got to help teach him the dance. Tee hee. Well, all of my fellow nuns tried to help out the situation with covert operations to find out all about him. They took it in shifts. We found out that he went to BYU, but is about to transfer to UVSC because the non-resident fees at BYU are harsh. He's studying drafting.

Tyler, the Greek god, fit in very quickly with the cast. We joked and laughed and had the most fun since rehearsals began. At the end of the night, he walked up to me, gently put his hand on my back and said, "Thanks so much for all your help. See you next week." (Sigh.) I'm so hooked.
I know what y'all are thinking...I'm thinking the same thing. I have 4 current crushes right now. It's ridiculous, I know, but I just can't help myself, and I don't intend to try. I'm single and I'm loving it.

Just remember - you don't need Mr. Right, just Mr. Right NOW. You go girl.
I also think this is good place to point out that I still hold the record for the most dates in one day. Consider this me offically throwing down the gauntlet down.

Two things to tell you my friend.

One: I'm addicted to blogging, too. We really should start a support group to break us of this addiction.

Two: Guys are trouble. You told me that yourself. -lol- But they're fun! (blush)

About Me

My Photo
Name: Broadway Baby
Location: Ogden, Utah, United States

All about me...where to start? I'm a displaced Southern Belle going to school in Utah. I'm studying Creative Writing and Theater at Weber State University. I miss the South and my good old Louisiana home, but I'm jazzed about the future. I've been told that my life is like a Lifetime movie or mini-series, so I'll be sharing little anecdotes of my misadventures on this blog page. If you want to know anything else about me, tough! You're just too nosy!
